***** Vodacom

The ********* treatment experienced by Vodacom is unacceptable. I have been trying to cancel my wifi ****le subscription with them since the end of February, as my prior plan was ended and upgraded to R1043/month without notification. On the 5th of March I called the finance department and spoke to agent Jabulihle Chabalala who conviced me that the plan had to be downgraded to R29 before finally being cancelled at the end of the month. She confirmed that I would only be charged the once off R29 come month end prior to final cancellation. An "unlock processing fee" SMS was received. On the 30th of March and SMS of "IGB Data Bundle at 75%" received, the next day I was again billed for the month and nothing cancelled or downgraded. I went to my Vodacom store and they confirmed that no such downgrade or cancellation had even been put through on Vodacom's side, the predowngrade of R29 not even being needed. On the 27th of April I called the finance department again to cancel, my cancellation request being confirmed, and SMS of "email confirmation will be sent for the cancellation" sent out yet no such email received. The next day an instore cancellation was laid by a Vodacom representative on my case's behalf. On the 29th of April a "request for cancellation escalation" SMS was received. By the 30th of April this was with drawn by Vodacom without attempt at resolve, a 2nd cancellation was laid by the instore assistant for this. it is now May and the 2nd escalation for cancellaiton has too been withdrawn without resolve by Vodacom and I have again been charged R1043 for the month. 3 months later of calls and multiple instore cancellation requests laid with zero progress or feedback. I am a student putting myself through university and do not have thousands at disposal to pay for the incompetency and ********* ways of Vodacom for something I have not used since Feb.
