***** or incompetence? With Vodacom you can't tell the difference!
I changed my contract at the Vodashop Cresta two months before the end of the 2 year contract from post-paid to pre-paid. Took all the documents that they needed. They scanned it and said everything was ok. Next month the debit order went off and I thought that it was the last as payment is was post-usage.
I was then phoned and told that they couldn't cancel the contract because it still had two months. I then pointed out that I hadn't received airtime or data for the new month on the contract. The person checked and said that they would cancel the contract.
Today the debit order again went off. I have reversed it. I will keep reversing it until they cancel the debit order.

08 Apr 2019, 15:06The store manager did contact me on Friday and today (Monday) when I went to the store they have no idea who contacted me.
They also have no record of me ever changing the contract to pre-paid.
I took the same set of documents with me and they scanned it again. This time they cc'd me in on the email request to cancel.
They then checked the account and they said I was in arrears and the contract could not be cancelled. I said I hadn't received the data for the account for the past two months and the debit order had been cancelled.
They checked on the system and miraculously my data appeared on my phone!
I then agreed to pay the full bill just to make sure that they would actually cancel the contract. I have paid that bill and I have an SMS to prove that I paid it. I also have a confirming SMS from Vodacom saying that the bill has been paid.
Let's see if Vodacom can actually change the contract to pre-paid now.
