***** on my Account

On 11th July I logged a call to notify Vodacom that a new number had been added to my account and it wasnt mine. Sent in copy of ID with three signatures, and affidavit and was assured that forensics would contact me. To begin with it took forever to get the documents uploaded onto their document server... who would know that Vodacom must be the only people who cant 'see' an attachment when you send it to their ********** address. these are all the reference numbers Reference 1- ********** 492809, 1- ********** ********** , 1- ********** ********** , and finally 1- ********** ********** .

My number is a data sim, which receives no calls or sms's - so i only found out there was another number linked to my account when i got my invoice in July. Now i have an August invoice and the number is still on that account.... and the rands are adding up. Turns out they wont lock the number... because forensics have to investigate. When you phone forensics they wont put you through, because they want a name. There is no name, not even sure there is a department because can it be possible they would take a whole month to contact a person? And still the number is active... I am not going to pay for it. Fortunately i pay via EFT - so here is the bad news Vodacom - i will pay for my data sim, as I have done for the last however many years, and you get to carry the cost of the other number. Shame on you all for being so ***********! Oh, and by the way, when my contract runs out it will be bye bye Vodacom. Because it seems that it is possible for someone to add a number to an account - they clearly dont have to produce valid ID and utililty bill.

Dear Vodacom

It would be nice if I can be contacted before the year 2020. Forensics that is. Consultants cannot help. I have spoken to many of them. Been on the phone for hours. it is forensics that need to phone me.

Three months have gone by and Vodacom has acknowledged there was ***** on my account. But my account still reflects as overdue, and the amount now sits at R9980.43. And nobody is dealing with this???? Will somebody at Vodacom deal with this now!
