***** matter not taken seriously!!!
I always had a Vodacom line but haven’t upgraded in a while but just receive airtime every month. On Friday, the 11th of May, I received an SMS from Vodacom, which stated that my quotation has been processed. I then called the customer care line on the same day and was told that “I” had just did an upgrade at their Alexandra store. I told this consultant that I live in Nigel and I am on maternity leave, so that is definitely not me. She then told me that I needed to go to the police station and make an affidavit and provide three of my signatures and a copy of my ID and send it to the Vodacom ***** department. As ****ed off as I was, I decided to drive to this Vodacom shop and request a copy of my contract and the copy of ID that “I” used to make this upgrade. Firstly the contract was not signed, that’s strange. What’s worse was that there was no documents attached to this contract. So Vodacom just lets people upgrade their numbers and then don’t make them sign ANYTHING. The worst of this is that the ladies at the Vodacom shop showed me that although the system showed that it was done at Vodacom Alexandra, the code (shop code I’m guessing) actually belonged to another shop.
Anyway I decided to do as I was told, and went to the police station to do an affidavit, signed a copy of my ID three times and sent those documents to ********** on the 4th of June 2018. I received an email back with reference number: EC-1JGC-26Y18D. Till this day I am still waiting for feedback, so I decide to call Vodacom to enquire about this. I was told that the ***** department doesn’t have a direct line to call them from, so I should sent an email to ********** and they will call me back. Did that but still nothing.
Now do I have to throw tantrums and get disrespectful in order to get a response from Vodacom? I mean I have been so patient with them, but instead I am blatantly ignored. It’s really unfair that they will end up debiting my account for something that I didn’t take up. So irritating!!!!!
