***** / identity theft

Nov 2014 I was a victim of Identity Theft. A Vodacom account was opened and debt was created in my name. I closed the account immediately. I notified Vodacom and an investigation was created. I thought everything was sorted and that my name was cleared. Recently (September 2016) I was denied a Home Loan bond because I have bad debt and my credit record is tarnished. ABSA informed me that if I get a letter from Vodacom they would relook into the application. Do you think Vodacom would assist me in this? I must have made over 7 calls to Vodacom. Each taking about 15 minutes. I was transferred over and over to different departments. It was so frustrating. Eventually, I got hold of someone that seemed like they care. They mentioned that I would be helpped out and that the letter would be sent. A week later, and I still don't have a a letter. I reckon I'm a day away from my "offer to purchase" expiring. Is anyone from Vodacom willing to help a victim of Identity theft. It's bad enough that your company just gave this ***** a contract without giving a full investigation. Now I am once again being punished for Vodacom unwillingness to help. Please do not tell me to call you call center again - I will literally freak out.

Regards

Justin Cook

They said they would get back to me. No one has. I call their terrible call center again (10th time) and once again after 15 minutes they put me through to the switch board and put straight down. I think Vodacom has the worse customer service in the world. I can not believe I got get a home loan because this company does not care about people.
