***** ENABLERS
On Tuesday 01/12/2020, a ********** sim swap was done in my name by an unknown third party using my profile. Upon visiting their Centurion Mall outlet, it was confirmed that indeed a sim swap was authorized using my profile in Hatfield. Their consultant undertook to escalate the matter to their authorities for further engagement. I was advised that in most cases the ********* do the sim swap to access banking and other important accounts and rob people. Following their advice, I had to freeze my bank account and cancel my cards which is affecting my family immensely. We cannot transact as I am the breadwinner and did not have any cash available. On 02/12/2020 I received a call wherein I was informed that the sim swap was done by a lady who was erroneously loaded on my profile following a mistake by a VODACOM employee in 2017. They were going to engage the said lady and revert back to me, to no avail. Today, 03/12/2020, I ran out of petrol and went to refill only to realise when I was supposed to pay that I don't have access to my accounts and therefore unable to settle my bill. I had to call relatives to come out and pay the filling station so that I could get home. WHY SHOULD I SUFFER FOR VODACOM'S FAULT?
Best regards,
Best regards,
We do not compensate bank charges as we had to advise you to stop your online banking and other bank facilities as sim swap ***** was suspected. This was to avoid financial loss.
