***** Department Slack

Vodacom's *****/Forensics department (if it even exists) is failing to communicate with me at all.

I have been a victim of ID ***** and a Vodacom contract (along with a Cell C contract, RCS account and American Swiss account) has been open in my name. The email address you are supposed to send the affidavit and copy of ID does not respond. You have no way to know what is going on. I eventually went into a Vodacom customer care shop and got all the documents scanned and got a case/investigation created. But yet again, no communication/update.

In the meantime, my credit score is getting wrecked because it shows I owe them money, which of course I don't.
WHEN WILL they remove this *****ulant account and credt from my name?!?!?!?
The investigation has been open for longer than a month already.

The Cell C ***** department was just as hard to get a hold of, but at least they sorted it all out in a few days.

VODACOM, you are making me really sad. And please upgrade you security standards, this wouldn't have happened in the first place if you were more thorough with vetting contact applications.

UPDATE: Right, so this is 3 April 2018 ±9 month later and at LONG last, the ********** Vodacom account has been removed from my credit score! The only way to get anyone to help me was via this hellopeter channel, thank you for contacting me and sorting it out so fast. (initially. I don't know why it still stayed on my credit score for so long after that) I don't know how else I was supposed to do it (complain on HelloPeter), because there is no help available anywhere else. Vodacom should have a dedicated ***** helpline! (btw the same issue with Cell C, but at least they removed the ********** account quickly after being made aware of my situation). So, yes, it took a while, but thanks Vodacom HelloPeter Team for helping me.
