***** - Correcting Statements without actually giving the refund
I have two existing contracts. My phone - which I pay R338.00 and my WiFi contract - which I pay R349.00. That is a total of R687.00 In November 2018 I received a call about a data contract. The sales lady made it sounds like it is an upgrade to my existing contract and I said yes. I realised when I received a message that it was actually a new contract, which I tried to cancel the very next day. The router was collected was from me as soon as I received it, and I followed up in 7 working days that it was received and that it must please be cancelled. This was not done and I was billed for this new contract on top of my two existing contracts. The new contract was R299.00 In December the amount of R1006 went off my FNB account. That is R319 more than what I am supposed to pay. I phoned to cancel and ask for the refund. Every time I got put through to a new person and every single time I had to struggle to get hear and understand what the person was saying because they will mumble, were impatient and there was a lot of noise in the background. I received a new statement and realised that I will be billed another R1006 in January and that the contract was never cancelled. I went to the Cape Town head office the beginning of January to speak to someone in person. I waited for an hour at reception just to be told the one and only person, Faiz, was too busy to come down and speak to me. He phoned reception to tell me I must phone 082 135 and use reference: I- ********** ********** . I found this extremely rude and i posted a complaint on Hello Peter. I received a call from Ashwin Abdurahman on January 10th and also an email: "As per our chat today. We can confirm that the data contract ( ********** 472) has been cancelled with immediate effect as the device was returned to our warehouse. A credit of R538.00 ex VAT has been processed today and the credit will reflect on your Vodacom account within 24 hours. The reference number for your query is EC-1RSD-2UCUMI." R299 plus R299 is actually R598. Where he got the amount of R538 from, I still dont understand!!! This is already a problem if your sales people cannot to simple maths!!!
In January 2019 an amount of R585.02 was deducted from my FNB account. Again, I rep**** to my complaint on Hello Peter and received a private message that the credit note will reflect on my February statement. I received the statement and it shows a credit note for R618.70. Where on earth do these people get all these amounts from?????
All they had to do was cancel the R299 contract, give me the refund for the amount they deducted from my FNB account in December and deduct the correct amount of R687 for my two existing contracts in January 2019.
Someone has just "corrected" my statement , WITH THE WRONG AMOUNT and claims I have received my refund!!!! This is *****.
If this is not sorted by the end of tomorrow, Monday 11th January 2019, I will go to the Police and open a case of ***** and theft.
You owe me for R1006 - R687 = R319. That is all. Can someone please have a look at what went wrong on my account and correct it. From what I understand, you "gave" me a credit of whatever amount on the wrong amount, so in fact I have never received my refund.
I also requested for the refund back in my FNB account please. I do NOT want another credit note on my Vodacom account. I want the refund back in my personal FNB account from where I pay you every single month.
