***** at its best!

To whom it may concern

I have been a loyal Vodacom customer for over 15 years. I've always used the Vodacom network from previous cell phone numbers to the one I'm currently using. You can track/trace this using my ID number: *** to verify just how long I've been your customer.

I'm so disappointed and appalled by the service or lack there of, that I've been getting for the past two if not three months. I took up an uncapped Fibre contract last year August which I've been paying R599 eevery month to date. In May, a sales agent (Nosipho) who signed me up and deals with Fibre at Vodacom Westwood Mall, Durban called me to say you guys had a special running to upgrade from the 10MBPS router that I had to a 25MBPS at no extra cost. I accepted because everyone wants fast internet speed/connection. Then I had to find out the hard way that this was not the case after R1677 was debited from my account.

As a result of this misleading information regarding the router upgrade, I've ben paying for 2 fibre lines. My line was suspended in the 27th of August because there is a pending investigation that started on the 30th of July for this discrepancy. Today is the 12th day without internet connection because I owe Vodacom money that I wasn't informed about. After going backwards & forward, calling both the store and the customer care line being transfered from one department to the next, I was told that the investigation for my account to be reimbursed has been approved.

I was told for my line/internet will only be reinstated if pay an amount of R1119.94. I'm furious because firstly the sales agent **** to me to make a sale and get commission at my expense. They've investigated and proved it, so why do I have to pay for someone's mistake? If the additional line wasn't added to my existing account I wouldn't be in this mess to begin with therefore my account would be up to date without any missing payment. I don't have R1119.94 which is why I signed up for R599 because its what I can afford. And even if I did have that amount, I shouldn't be held liable for something I didn't do. Vodacom got me in this mess and it's Vodacom's responsibility to get me out.

If I didn't get a call about an upgrade, none of us would be here right now. I had to deal with a low credit scoring because I am now considered to be a bad payer, I've been to the store three times driving using my petrol to sort out this matter. On top of all of that I'm expected to pay so I can get internet due to a mistake that was made by Vodacom? Is this how Vodacom treats their customers? How many oyher people are paying for extra services they're not aware of? If we need to handle or settle this matter legally, please let me know so I can get my lawyer from legal aid to sort this issue out for me.

I refuse to be used as collateral damage. Someone needs to pay omand that won't be me.

Sincerely Nonkululeko Ngidi

I cannot wait to cut ties with the ****ed up service I've been getting from Vodacom for the past 3 months😐 Even trying to get a settlement/cancelation letter is a problem 🚮 My monthly installment maybe nothing to k you as a service provider but I can think of better useful things I can use my R600 instead of the plate full of bull**** that I'm being served. My issue was closed because I was owing money from April which nobody alreted me to, I had to have a problem for you people to realise that mistake. And even after paying that amount that was in arrears, I'm still where I started. Day 14 without internet and I'm still going to be expected to pay the full amount month end?

I've had this fibre contract for over a year now and after someone added an extra line without my approval or knowledge I want to cancel my subscription. I don't want to be in this situation again three months later and have an extra added service to my name/account without my approval or knowledge. I requested for a cancelation quote and I was advised it will cost me R5312.96 to cancel the service. I've contacted the ***** dispute department, got a ref number:EC-17U9-3V98A7. I also contacted the legal clo department and they gave me their own reference no: EC-17UA-227CMB. I don't know what do at this point because I don't believe it should cost me this much to get out of a messy contract. Someone messed up at Vodacom and it seems like I'm the one paying the price for it. No one has been held accountable for adding an extra line, I haven't had an apology from Vodacom for that mistake. I haven't been compensated for the three days I drove to Vodacom in Westville to sort this matter out nor have I been compesanted for the reversal I had to do at my bank after being wrongfully charged. If I had the R5312.96 lying around somewhere I would honestly pay it because staying on as a customer is costing me more than it should. But I don't have it and I don't feel like it's fair to make me pay for an injustice I didn't bring upon myself.

I don't even want to carry on using my cell phone under your network because I feel like ither networks which I've nevr used before could provide a less complicated,no underhanded tactics, less stress service. As much as I've never had any issues with my number but I feel like I'd be wasting my money towards the airtime and data that I buy for an *********** network.
