How is it possible for someone to do a sim swap (twice in 5 months) on my Vodacom account. I did not request a sim swap, I was not present when the sim swap occurred. The first time is was 6.30am, by 8am my bank account was emptied. This time it was 5.50pm. My phone went dead the next day. When I phoned Vodacom to find out why my phone was not working they told me I had done a sim swap, I advised them that i did not do a sim swap and told them to block the sim. The lady that I spoke to blocked the sim card. I phoned back later to ask how it was possible to do this sim swap when I had flagged my account that all sim swaps had to be done face to face. The lady then went on to tell me when and where the sim swap took place, she also told me this was ***** and gave me the Vodacom ***** email address and telephone number, they were closed, it was after 5pm. Something very fishy is going on at Vodacom and everyone needs to be aware of it. This is ***** beyond description and I am holding Vodacom responsible. I intend opening a ***** case at the Police Station tomorrow against Vodacom.
