1)I had an existing contract with Vodacom for two (2)gb of data for R109 per month since June 2014 or less. 2) It was common practice that 1 or 2 months before expiration of the contract, I would renew the same with Vodacom. 3) The last contract had a running period since June 2016 and was to terminate in June 2018. 4) On or about 30th March 2018, my bank account was debited by Vodacom for R1200. 5) I made contact with Vodacom Call Centre to dispute the transaction of R1200 as I had no knowledge of its facts. 6)I was told that the contract that was due to expire in June 2018 had been upgraded – this was without my knowledge and consent. 6.1. I submitted all the necessary documents they asked for i.e. affidavit and copy of ID to have this matter investigated and closed. 7) Vodacom acted on its own accord in upgrading the contract and I refuse to be a party to a contract I did not consent to.
