I have been working for Mast Towing Zeerust for almost 4 years now and was using my own personal number and phone for business purposes. A few weeks back I had given notice that I'm leaving my job and will only be working until the end of May (driver for Mast Towing) Around on the 4th of May, my employer, Mr Vos, came to the workplace telling me that he has a new phone for me. With that, i put my simcard into the new phone. I was not informed that the phone is on contract, on Mr Vos's name. A week went by when i went to the Vodacom shop and asked to change my points on the simcard for another phone. That's when I was told that the phone number is on Mr Daniel Hendrick Vos's name and not on mine anymore. The owner of Mast Towing, Mr Daniel Hendrick Vos went to the Vodacom shop in Zeerust, and without my consent told the person working there that his driver which is me is now residing in Botswana, which is a lie, because he wants to take the number over by me and took out a contract phone on his name with my number. I was not aware of this happening. Mr Daniel Hendrick Vos was aware that I'm leaving the job which made him put my number on his name so that he can claim my number when I leave and have all my personal contacts and information. He also had the phone linked to his without my knowledge where by all my calls and sms's went to his phone too, including all my personal bank information which was sent to my phone number. This was all done without my consent and approval. I've been struggling for the past 3 weeks with Vodacom to help me get my number back. The person working at Vodacom in Zeerust refused to help me due to the fact that my number was no longer on my name but on Mr Vos's name. Customer care at Vodacom also can not help me. I've had this number for plus/minus 8 years. Today on the 18th of March, i went to my workplace and when I got out of my vehicle, i had my phone in my hand. He grabbed my phone out of my hand and used vulgar language saying that its his phone and number and that I should leave. I don't understand how all of this was done by Vodacom. Vodacom (the person working at Vodacom) should have refused Mr Vos access to taking my number over without my consent. Vodacom was careless and neglegent when it came to this issue.
