I terminated my contract with Vodacom on the 30th June 2016 after moving to Cell C. This was during Cell C's buyout promotion. Vodacom got their money and I thought that was the end of our association. My husband realised that Vodacom continued to deduct money from his account, and went to reverse the payment at his bank

On the 25th Jan 2017, I received a letter from Vodacom that I owe them money - R3351.18 to be exact.

I checked with the company that handled the payout amount on Vodacom's behalf, and they told me that the buyout amount reflects at Vodacom but that I have have a Red VIP contract with Vodacom ( ********** 106). I most certainly did not end the one contract to take up another. This contract was opened **********ly in my name and my husband's account used for this transaction.

I called them on the 31st Jan 2017 and was told that this contact dated back to 9 Nov 2014. I spoke to a Koketso @ 20:20 and she gave me a reference number 1- ********** 201424. I had to go to a police station to do an affadavit that I did not enter into this contract, provide them with my signature and a copy of my id, which I did via e-mail on the 1st Feb 2017. I sent them a reminder on the 13th Feb 2017. Up to date, I have not had a reply from them and they continue to deduct payments, which we had our bank reverse twice. My problem is that this might negatively affect my credit rating which I do not want obviously. I need this problem sorted but nobody comes back to me and nobody responds to my e-mails.

My question would obviously be if Vodacom condones this ********** transaction? It had to be somebody working for them that opened this contract on my behalf or use my husband's banking details to pay for somebody elses account, because it is definately not mine. What am I as a non-customer suppose to think? I need this problem resolved and I need all the money deducted thus far to be paid back to me. If somebody could attend to this urgently and get back to me! I do not have the time or money to call a call centre number and explain myself again. They have what they need, now they must just do something about it.
