*****

In 2011 I had a cellphone contract which was R190 p/m and expired in 2013, which was after 2-years. It was then upgraded in 2013 to R400 p/m without my knowledge and consent. No notification of a new contract was given to me, I didn't receive a new cellphone nor any correspondence. No new documents for the upgrade was sent to me. The debit order at the bank was increased to the new amount. I then stopped the debit order as i knew nothing about the new contract. Two years after the contract was upgraded i received a phone call from Vodocom stating that I owed them R7000. I disputed the fact and they advised me to get affidavit because the consultant said he could see it was ***** as I never authorised an upgrade and never used any of the airtime. I did the affidavit and sent it through to Vodacom and nothing happened until I received a phone call from a lawyer saying that Vodacom has handed me over to them for collection. I called the ***** dept of Vodacom and they said the legal dept did not handle the case properly. The affidavit was supposed to be sent through to the ***** dept for investigation. Legal dept gave no evidence that I gave permission for the upgrade. I NEED HELP !!
