I had a 24 month data contract costing R99 pm. On 31 Feb 2015 I discovered my bank account was debited with R708. After spending 45 minutes holding on for Vodacom Customer Care while in aVodacom agent's store on 1 Feb, I was informed that I had upgraded my account on 20/11/2014, which included a new Sony Experia X3 handset. I did no such upgrade and compiled a statement which was emailed to Vodacom from the agent shop as per their recommendation.
I now receive an email from the agent which contained a message from one WILSON that I must supply my ID and an affidavit.
My question - why did Wilson/ Vodacom not liaise with me directly since all my details were in the statement provided?
This service from Vodacom sucks to say the least - what service orientated business has customers waiting for 45 minutes on a telephone at their expense? It appears that Vodacom makes it extremely difficult to speak to anybody while trying to resolve an issue - and ***** is a crime - not a normal account issue.
I will cancel my debit order citing ********** activity and see what comes out of the wash from Vodacom. It can only be one of their staff members. They should know the handset delivery addres
