Fradulent Sim Swap

I got a call today from *** someone claiming that they work for Vodacom and they were calling to inform me that someone is doing a Sim Swap on my number and they wanted to verify the SIM SWAP. They asked for my details in order for them stop the swim swap from my number from happening.

I immediately called Vodacom customer services to check if there indeed a sim swap in process on my number and I was told that there was no sim swap on my number, however they refused to take the *** (number that called me) to do investigation some investigation and protect other clients from fradulent sim swap. The told me to go to SAPS if I am scared that my details will be used to do a ********** sim swap on my number or if I want the number to be tracked to ensure it does not **** other clients.

To all Vodacom customer, be alert of this **** and do not give your details to anyone claiming they work for VODACOM and REMEMBER VODACOM is doing nothing about this and they are not interested tracking down this Sim Swap ****. Maybe ICASA should help us, maybe they should impose a to Vodacom for allowing ********** & Unregistered SIM on their Network like Nigerians done to MTN
