Formal Complaint Escalation – Misrepresentation of Contract Migration
Dear Vodacom Escalations Team,
I am formally disputing and rejecting the quoted invoice related to my recent contract migration.
During the recorded call explaining the migration, I specifically asked whether the new contracts would be R400.00 each, inclusive of everything, including the handsets, and I was explicitly told yes. Based on this assurance, I agreed to the migration.
I am currently paying R956.00, and the new billing reflects an increase of approximately R500.00, which directly contradicts what was explained to me. I was clearly led to believe that the migration would result in a saving, not a substantial increase.
Unless the corrected amount is less than my current payment, I require that my account be reverted immediately to the original contract terms. I also request that I not be contacted regarding any further upgrades or deals, as you purposely mislead your customers.
I have been with your network for over 20 years and this is what I get ?
Please refer back to the call recording, as it will confirm the representations made to me.
I expect written confirmation of resolution.
Regards, Riaan Myburgh

I am following up on my formal complaint escalation, sent more than seven days ago, for which I have received no feedback, no resolution, and no proposed solution.
This matter relates to a misrepresented contract migration, where I was explicitly informed during a recorded call that the new contracts would be R400.00 each, inclusive of everything including the handset. The resulting invoice reflects a significant increase over my current payment of R956.00, directly contradicting what was agreed to verbally.
To be clear:
I do not accept the quoted invoice.
I did not consent to a higher-cost contract.
I require either:
Immediate correction of the billing to the agreed amount below my current payment, or
Full reversion to my original contract terms, with no penalties.
Your continued lack of response is unacceptable. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will proceed with formal escalation to ICASA, supported by the call recording and this written correspondence.
Please confirm in writing:
That the call recording has been reviewed, and
What corrective action will be taken.
I expect urgent feedback.

Riaan Myburgh
