FORMAL COMPLAINT: ******** BILLING, FAILURE TO CANCEL CONTRACT, AND IMPROPER CREDIT REPORTING
My email to Vodacom on the 25th April 2026, which i have recieved no reply:
Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the continued billing and incorrect credit reporting associated with my Vodacom contract, despite repeated requests for cancellation following the end of my contract term.
I have been attempting to cancel this contract for several months following the completion of the contractual term. I notified Vodacom on numerous occasions of my intention to cancel. In January 2026, I settled the outstanding balance in full and again formally requested cancellation of the contract. At that time, I was explicitly reassured that the contract would be cancelled.
Despite this assurance, I was unexpectedly debited again in April 2026. Notably, no debit orders were processed in February or March 2026, and as this debit order has always been my authorised payment method, I reasonably assumed that the contract had been successfully cancelled.
It has since come to my attention that my credit profile currently reflects a three-month arrears status as a result of this matter. This is deeply concerning, as the arrears are a direct consequence of Vodacom’s failure to action my cancellation request timeously and accurately.
I formally request full call records relating to these numbers to substantiate my attempts to resolve this matter.
Furthermore, I request the following as a matter of urgency:
A formal letter confirming that Vodacom is at fault for the incorrect billing and the resulting negative impact on my credit profileThe immediate closure of this accountWritten confirmation that the contract has been cancelledRectification of any adverse credit listings related to this account
This situation has caused unnecessary stress and potential reputational and financial harm. I trust that Vodacom will treat this complaint with the seriousness it warrants and provide prompt resolution.
I look forward to your written response and confirmation of corrective action.
Best regards, Wisnton Dasari
