Forgetting their core business
I am moving into a month to month, and asked to please reduce my monthly minutes allocation, but keep my data etc the same. They will only do such a change if I accept another 24 month contract, and because I am “downgrading”, they want to charge me a migration fee! Sjo’, what a sad day when a multi billion rand organization feel justified to treat customers like this. Why must I sign another contract? Why must I pay a migration fee? Why can’t you be happy to still provide a service and get paid for that service?
You would rather get me to consider cancelling, than continue to provide me a service that is fully in your control to do so.

12 Feb 2020, 18:34After calling today to cancel, Michael managed to convince me to stay by clearing with his management was n what I was looking for. We agreed, noted on recording and it even got an sms conforming the new arrangement.
TEN MINUTES LATER, Michael CALLS AND SAYS HIS MANAGEMENT COULD NOT GO AHEAD WITH DEAL. THEY ARE SORRY.
*** VODACOM. FINE EXAMPLE OF INCOMPETENCE OF MANAGEMENT.

17 Feb 2020, 13:43I heard and interacted no further with Vodacom since my post above. So no, sorry, your records are not correct. Your team is probably just satisfied to write me off (a drop in your billion rand ocean).
