Forced Vodacom upgrade

VODACOM COMPLAIN – Pinky Siwele

18/10/2016 I was contacted by Vodacom consultant Boitshoko for an upgrade. Friday 21/10/2016 I agreed over the phone for flexi 500. Realising the option was not viable I could only contact Vodacom on Monday 24/10/2016. Cancellation done through Dabsile Ref ********** 34285. 01/11/2016 package delivered through Lawrance from ram couriers and I refused to sign and mentioned I cancelled the upgrade. I contacted Vodacom same day and spoke to Jabulani Ref05:06 who referred me to vodashop CHATZ HORIZON and spoke to Lee the manager for cancelation and she promised to lodge a cancelation.

While on leave I received a call from Kelebogile of Vodacom offering me an upgrade and I advised her that I was in a process of getting a deal cancelled. I called Lee of CHATZ and she mentioned that she requested a cancellation and will give feedback of which was not done.

While on leave Vodacom contacted me again for an upgrade and I told them my case and they still went on to deliver the package again and my workplace turned it back. Coming back from leave on 15/11/2016 I contacted CHATZ and Lee the manager said she asked Munique to cancel the upgrade and they put me through Munique and my call was not attended to. On 16&17nth November I called CHATZ again without any success. Only on 18/11/2016 Munique was able to talk to me and told me the upgrade cancelation was done on 15/11/2016 with Ref EC-04FY-2FTFBK. I called Vodacom to inform them of the cancellation and told them I do not expect any debits and they mentioned they cannot access that information on the system and was assured debits will not take place.

To my surprise 30/11/2016 I received a call from Charmaine from Vodacom to inform me of R150 administration fee to be debited on my account. I told her I had cancelled the upgrade and gave her cancelation Ref EC-04FY-2FTFBK. I begged her to call me back and she promised to do so after an hour. I got caught up with work and around 6 I realised she did not call me back. On 01/12/2016 evening my daughter told me I had a lot of airtime and was shocked to see R500 airtime loaded on my phone. The next day, today 02/12/2016 I received bank debit report of R550 from Vodacom. I called Vodacom and spoke to Brian Ref ********** 8 and explained my case and he told me he needed to load a Service Case which will be attended to within 72 hrs. I asked Brian to transfer me to his senior manager since I was not willing to wait that long otherwise my debits were going to bounce. Brian transferred me and I was on the line for more than 25minutes (TIME FOR MY CALL 14:51 TO 15:30) holding the line until anyone responding then the line dropped. I tried to call again and there was no response. Same day 02/12/2016 I received a call from Lieketseng Mokeche saying she wanted to know if I received satisfactory assistance since I received sms requesting me to rate service received after I spoke to Brian earlier and I rep**** NO. I told Lieketseng that I have compiled a detailed report on what I have been through since 21/10/2016 to 02/12/2016 and she advised that I send her the report on her email ********** which I did. I received postmaster report of undelivered email and realised email address was misspelled. I resent the email on 05/12/2016 and received report that the email was successfully delivered and I haven’t received any report since then. 06/12/2016 I tried calling Vodacom twice and was on hold for consultant to no avail. 07/12/2016 I called Vodacom again and Meryl who was so kind to listen to me gave me customer care email address to send my complain.

N.B: I made it clear to Vodacom that I am not upgrading and do not expect any deductions

I appeal for this query to be attended to urgently so I can be reimbursed my R550.

This is truly disappointing after being with Vodacom for more than 15 years...........

Patient and loyal customer disappointed like that?........As said “do not burn your bridge” and “treat people as human/people not as objects”!

Disappointed client,

Pinky Siwele
