FORCED TO TAKE THE PHONE

i app**** for an upgrade at Southgate and Yolanda assisted me, an email was sent to your Escalations dept on the 23/12/2015 at 10:07am and no one bothered to respond. i do not need the phone anymore as i cannot afford financially Yolanda said because i made them to order the phone i am forced to take because she will not be getting her salary due to me cancelling the deal at the last minute. She was very loud on the phone I then asked her to contact me when she is a bit calm, after a while I contacted the manager who also told me that I signed a binding document therefore I must take the phone. One important aspect that I asked Yolanda when I signed the documents was that am I signing for receipt of the phone or not, she said no you are signing for an upgrade, because it didn't make sense for me to sign the document before getting the phone. The manager of the store also told me that I will have to deal with the lawyers if I don't take the phone, now my question is, am I now forced that to take on something that I know that I cannot afford at all? I do not have the device with me, I did not sign to take the phone and it is now being shoved down my throat
