Forced telemarketing selling/Bad support

I was called in June 2016 by a Vodacom telemarketer offering me a Vodaphone WiFi device. During the conversation I turned down the offer a few times and was told repeatedly that it is for free. At the end I said, ok send me the device, but I am not paying anything. The device was delivered. I did not use it ever since as I am a pensioner and not in need of such a device.

I then receive an invoice for subscription services and topup costs. I sent Vodacom a mail on 2016/07/08. They acknowledge receipt of the mail on the same day with a reference number. On 2016/07/19 and 2016/08/02 I sent more mails. Same story. Still I was receiving monthly invoices. I called customer care helpdesk on 2016/08/16 receiving another ref nr and only to hear they will call back in 72 hours. Nothing happened. I called again on 2016/09/07. I was told they will send a closeby Vodashop the recording and i will be called to collect. To date nothing happened. Some of the reference numbers given to me : S3-GOF2V-V7WEU, 003S"SCR4 and the latest 4805.

I was vertually forced to accept the "free" offer. I do not want and cannot use such a device. Payment of the invoice is by debit order including my cell phone cost. I cannot return part of the debit order. Vodacom has to cancel the invoice from their side. I cannot afford the unnecessary monthly payment.

Reviewer Update

This is the same sort of reply that I had the last 3 months on this issue. I am not interested in this feedback or a call from a consultant. I would like to hear that the device will be collected and the monthly invoice cancelled.

Vodacom is missing the issue.
