Forced Promise to Pay
I accidentally left my 3G on and my PC downloaded 17GB, which caused my bill to be nearly R20,000. This is not the reason for my complaint.

Obviously I did not plan for this, so I called Vodacom before they realised that my debit order had failed, to make an arrangement. The lady was very kind and assisted me to set up a payment arrangement. She cancelled my debit order and instructed me to make cash payments.

I then started receiving SMSs to warn me about possible cancellation, and I also received an automated call taking me through a process to set up a promise to pay. I understand that this was probably automatically generated, but this process is going to cause more debit orders to fail, and further costs on my side.

Every time I call customer care, I go through so many options and computer prompts which just read out my balance, but I never seem to be able to reach someone. The last time I was on hold for 20 mins. When the person picked up, the call was silent, and then the call was dropped!

The number for collections isn't available anywhere online, so I am stuck, and my debit order is still in place with this promise to pay.

I need collections to call me

Please assist
