My mother has been using her Vodacom number since 2004, without any problem. On the 13th of DECEMBER 2020 we bought her a new device which require a small SIM Card. So we tried to cut the OLD SIM, unfortunately it could not work with the new phone. WE had to a SIM SWAP telephonically , they told us that her number has been flagged as a result she is supposed to go to the Vodacom shop and do the sim swap. The Vodacom shop is 150km away from where we are staying and my mother is a pensioner, she is supposed to risk her life travelling with taxes up and down just for the SIM SWAP, during this STAY AT HOME COVID-19 PANDEMIC PERIOD. I HAVE TRIED SENDING THE COPY OF ID TO CUSTOMER CARE BUT THERE IS NO RESPONSE. Cant they do like a video call to verify that it's her if need be, instead of stressing such an elder. She is not using her number as from the 13th because of this problem.
