I have received a Letter of Final Demand for payment on my Vodacom Account on the 20 July 2017. The letter also stated that if not paid within 20 working days the account would be handed over. On this letter it stated that I have to pay the outstanding balance or contact them on ********** . Which I contacted on the 22 July 2017 approximately 15:30 personally stating I am on my way overseas and that they need to contact my wife so that she can make the necessary arrangements, the lady said the Legal Dept is closed as it was a Saturday but that she would log it on the system to state they should contact me via e-mail or contact my wife. Days went by and no feedback received, I sent an e-mail as the days were getting less, on the 26 July 2017 I sent an e-mail explaining the situation of being overseas and what was said on the 22nd via telephonic discussion with Vodacom. I received an automated response with a Reference and stating that they wil reply within the following 5 working days. Until the 4 August 2017 no feedback has been received so my wife phoned ********** (Legal Dept) to try and find out if there has been any attempt to contact or if she could make the arrangement, so they refused her and said I needed to send a letter stating that I give her authority to do so, so I sent the letter required on the 4 August 2017, again receiving a Reference and stating 5 working days to wait. So then my wife went on the 8 August 2017 to the Vodacom Branch (Highveld Mall, Witbank) so they could help her, because as the legal dept. claims she can take my authority letter and make the arrangements, so standing at Vodacom they denied that they could help and that only the legal dept. can do anything but none the less the Vodacom Branch phoned the Legal Dept. (as it was received by my wife by the legal dept. the branch should just phone state that my wife has an authority letter and then they could help her) so the Legal Dept. said Vodacom has to send the letter and also wait 5-7 days to reflect on the system. But still my wife went and paid R1,500 on the Account at the Branch, so that some sort of payment has already been made. So now Up until the 16 August 2017 (20 working days) no feedback has been received by me the Account Holder by either Vodacom nor the Legal Dept. So yet again my wife phoned the 17 August 2017 to try again and make an arrangement for payment, and not only denied but after 20 working days they have still not attached the letter of authority which has been sent twice to my account in order to make an arrangement. I am in Saudi Arabia I have tried and kept on trying to make contact and to do what is asked everytime. I am a Vodacom Customer and up until now no one has contacted me in order to try and help, I can ONLY be contacted via EMAIL and I cannot believe the uselesness of Vodacom Customer Care, because NO ONE want to help their Customer in trying to help me and it is not even as if I just left it because of being overseas I have endlessly kept on trying and this is absolutely absurd. I will make sure not to do business with Vodacom again seeing as their customers do not matter !!!!
