Fibre nightmare | Employees that cant think outside the box
There should be an option to select no stars. I have never experienced such bad service in my life. These idiots for employees just don’t care. whilst talking they have cut me off and said it’s another department but that department doesn’t have contacts.
Once Covid came in and we started working remotely, I was receiving a complimentary 25/25 extra, this of course only lasted a few months. When it ended, I realized that I needed the higher Wi-Fi package, and skipped getting quotes around because I assumed at that stage that Vodacom was the right choice. I phoned in for Vodacom to upgrade it. they commenced upgrading it immediately. or so I thought...but they certainly charged me for the upgrade
on the 04/02/2021 I logged a call, advising them that I have been testing the speed over the past few months and it never goes past 21/20, but they have been debiting the fee for 50/50. I had to send 3 screenshots with 15min intervals between them of my speed test result and the time. The lady said it’ll be resolved in 48 hrs. it wasn’t...
I kept setting reminders, but got too busy to call them and hold for hours. I got a chance to call them again on the 10/03/2021, where I was told 48 hours (***-305632). I said to the lady that it is impacting my business, because it was - my system kept lagging and buffering, it was a nightmare. She said there is nothing she can do, I must just wait the 48 hrs for the technicians, but 72 hours for the refund (***-206610). She also asked me to take 3 screenshots with 15min intervals between them of my speed test result and the time.
About an hour later, my internet speed went down completely, so I called the call center again and asked them to please help me, because now I cannot do any work. the guy says there is nothing he can do because the technicians don’t have numbers (which I think is absolute BS) anyway I asked to speak to the manager, he says they don't have numbers either, only email addresses. I asked who does he message/call when he is not feeling well and can’t make it to work, he said he emails (BS) he continually told me how I should just wait, someone will help me. He got absolutely rude, would not give me his surname as its against company policy (BS), which basically means that he doesn’t want Vodacom to trace him/the call.
This is a prime example of a huge company not having sight, or probably not wanting sight, of what their employees on the ground are doing. I work for one of the major banks in SA, and Vodacom has forced me to seek assistance from my employer, who issue VODACOM contracts – so hopefully they can provide contacts of someone that can help. But also to let them know that VODACOM is limiting my ability to do my work. Just because I’m not a business account, means that they can bully me. Typical big company syndrome.
they owe me over R2,000 and still need to correct my speed. hopefully this helps to resolve the issue.
New issue - since I have received my correct speeds there have been endless issues. I have, this week alone, contacted vodacom (***) 7 times; I still don’t have a reference, I have been hung up on twice and don’t have any internet connections. Today (Saturday) I have been on the phone with Vodacom for 3 hours!! I have exams to write online and thanks to Vodacom I have failed one because My connection terminated, I was connected via LAN cable. I dont understand.
Why do I have to go through this???? Vodacom please can you give me the connection!
