Fibre installation woes continue'd.... The epic SAGA of "Will I ever get my internet??"
After MANY, many phone calls and trying to find out what is going on with my fibre installation I have resorted to writing some automated test software that will email: ********** ********** every hour with the test result.
And after a while, I got this email....
"Good Day Jacques Kindly be advised that your Fault will be attended by our technicians the original reference is SR190 ********** 33 . kindly be advised that the other references are duplicates ,and all duplicates SR 's will be on closed status not resolved duplicates are (SR190 ********** 36,SR190 ********** 43,SR190 ********** 46,SR190 ********** 50,SR190 ********** 61,SR190 ********** 67 ,SR190 ********** 73 , SR190 ********** 31). please don't send another email bcs it creates many duplicates every time you send email. for follow up please rather call us to ********** option 2 don't send email. Regards Vodacom"
THIS does not clarify what is going on, or what steps have been taken to resolve my problems, and for the customer service agent to forbode me from sending a legitimate fault. I don't understand.
I've called MULTIPLE TIMES. I've logged MULTIPLE hello peter messages AND NOTHING!! A person might say that I am frustrated and agitated with this tedious back and forth of trying to GET SOME FEEDBACK! I'm so close to being done with this entire process it's not even funny.....
Your call centre agents each have a different take on what's going on.
One agent says that there is a major backlog in configuration of the routers. Another agent says that my router has been configured. Another agent says that my router has been marked for a swap out??? I have no clue what's going on with this order.
Surely the FTTH technologies support self configuration options and or can be configured to the correct VLANS on connection. It should be as simple as plugging it in and providing a username and password in the router??? Why is this so difficult to get a service activated?
