Fibre install heavily delayed causing employer tension
I requested fibre-line from VOX through Vodacom on the 6th of August 2021 - its been nearly three weeks of waiting for them to come and install the fibre at home line.
This is ridiculous because I have escalated the issue more than 5 times now, each time getting a different reference number from a call center agent and not winning with them.
I have stressed the following to them: 1. I work 100% from home and need a stable connection, moreso because my work depends on me being in meetings most of the time 2. The area that im in does not have sufficient coverage to make use of the rain simcard I have, this is not their issue, but I stressed this so that they know the difficulties i'm facing 3. I moved into my new property and ordered this line BEFORE even moving in thinking that it would sync up just in time for me when I move in
I am now forced to take from my annual leave because my connection is disruptive to meetings. Its really not fair
Vodacom(The actual ISP) has a policy to provide unlimited LTE while I wait for the fibre to be installed, nothing has been offered to me. - Could this also be another false adverti*****t on their part?
I honestly don't know what to do to. My frustrations are peeked
I contacted a friend at Vodacom who escalated this to the head of sales and marketing for Fibre and there has still not been any feedback or updates on my request. Will Vodacom be paying me out for my leave that I've taken for them to resolve this issue?
