Fiber, no service letter of demand

2 years ago we moved into our current house. The area got Fiber.

A Vodacom sales agent came, we filled in the forms. 2 months later no service. I phoned and cancelled with Vodacom. We got another service provide and been working with that with no Vodacom communication ever since.

2 years later, yes it takes 2 years with no communication… I received a letter of demand that I owe Vodacom R1500 that 2 years later now is over R1800 in interest.

I haven’t received a single invoice, i haven’t received a contract, i haven’t signed a contract, I haven’t received any hardware like a modem etc. Only magically 2 years later there is money that i owe.

I phoned and explained the situation to Vodacom. They said they will cancel.

That was a month ago. I still get phone calls and emails that I owe Vodacom over R1800.00 from the debit collector.

I also see that this negative is on my Credit score. I take my credit score seriously since always have good credit.

Am at the moment job hunting so things like this is negatively influence my job search.
