Festive Season joy and excitement was ****ed by Vodacom

For anyone taking out a new contract with Vodacom PLESE READ!!!!!!!

I tried taking out a new contract with Vodacom in Mutual Park Mall and hoping to get a brand new phone before Christmas....which initially got declined . When I asked why the store had me call the credit bureau. The Creit bureau confirmed that nothing is wrong with credit and that I must ask the store on what basis they declined my application. They even emailed me my report which I took with. Vodacom then re0app**** for this and told me it should take 1 - 4 hours and that they will follow up to to ensure it gets sorted quicker. A few hours later I checked in and they told me it is still pending. I went the next day and they told me it is still pending but that they will phone to find out what is happeneing. I went a few hours later and they told me it is still pending. The Vodacom store was going to close at 12PM that day (23rd of December 2016). I asked if they could transfer this to Canal Walk Vodacom as the mall that they were in will only open on the 28th of December again. They confirmed that I can now go complete this at Canal Walk's Vodacom.

I got to Vodacom in Canal Walk after sitting in quite a bit of traffic and after about waiting for about 20 miniutes in the Vodacom queue, one of the Vodacom employees told me that they do not deal with the Vodacom that I done the initial application with and I need to go to the other Vodacom store which was at the other side of the mall. When I got there, I waitied almost an hour in that queue and I was told that the application was not transferred and there is nothing that can be done. I could not even apply for another deal as that one was pending. This already ****ed my spririt as now I need to wait till the 28th to sort this out. Then I sat another few hours in traffic getting home while it was rainning.... not a good way to start the festive season for anyone.

Then I went to the Vodacom Store in the mall today, the 29th of December 2016, only to see a sign that they will re-open on the 9th of january 2017!!! I tried calling Vodacom Customer Care but every department was tranferring me to another department, from New contracts to accounts, to new contracts then to upgardes, then back to new contracts and I dont know where. No one knew what is ahppening with the application only that it is pending. No one could tell me who needs to approve what only that I need to go back to the store I app**** at and the more I tried to explain that the store is closed, no one wanted to help me further, they all just rather want to pass the buc and transfer me to another department.

I eventually (searching long and hard in every corner I could find) got hold of one of the people that deals with corporate contracts at that store. He told me he will contact someone from that store that deals with the contracts. Eventaully after calls back and fourth, he transferred my application to N1 City Mall however, I explained to the person that N1 City mall will only get stock of the phone I want late January 2017. All he said now is that the application is now sitting with Vodacom N1 City so i need contact them to do whatever I need to do....again passing the buc!!!

So now I will will call N1 city Vodacom and hope for the best. If they cannot get the phone I will just cancel everything and go to a competitor. It does not seem that Vodacom needs new customers anymore. At this point I dont think that I want to bind myself to Vodacom for 2 years if this is the service level that they offer.
