Fed-up with back and forth due to poor service
I have definitely reached my patience with Vodacom. Since May 2017 to date which is 27 September I have been struggling with Vodacom. Believe me, if I could cut all ties with Vodacom today, then I would. I have dealt with so many people at Vodacom that I have lost count and today was just the cherry on the cake. Part 1: So my journey started in December 2016 when I was due for an upgrade: Got myself the Samsung S7 with the VR Gear and the Samsung Tablet as per the promotion. Stayed on the Smart S contract. Part 2: In May, if not mistaken 12 May I get a call from Vodacom that they see I am using a lot of data and that moving to the Top-up 350 will work out better and cheaper for me. I explain my current contract terms, what I am paying etc. I am told that the Top-up 350 will cost me less, no changes to the current contract, etc. My contract just contract just continues as is from December 2016 and that it is not new from May / June. So the change to Top-up 350 happens and I realize that my contact names don’t show and the same on their side when I call. So I call just find out that the caller ID has been removed and that I have to pay for that separately. I also soon realised with the billing that it is costing me more. I call Vodacom to move back to the initial contract as this is not what I signed up for and that I want to have the recording. I am told that I must subpoena them for this. Later was said that the back-office will listen and revert back. I call 7 days later, not done yet, I call 14 days later, not done yet. I call again and hear that the call has been closed without resolution. Explain my story again to number of people and again the call is closed without resolution. Will all this happening I am still explaining that no new devices were given with the Top-up 350 as many thought. Long story short, I threaten with going to the Media and in august someone eventually helps with the fact that I can move to Smart S (plus) as the original one was discontinued. Migration fees will be waivered, I will be credited for the additional amounts paid. Part 3: 1 September I moved to the Smart S (plus) as the Smart S has been discontinued. I ran out of minutes and called Vodacom to have the limited set on the line as I cannot top up. To my amazement I hear from the recording: Pay subscription for the tablet which was free all this time (No one said that this will be the case) That I have a bill of R2000 odd rand to be paid 29 September. I said that I refuse to pay for all this additional nonsense that had to be sorted out long time ago. The additional money is for the migration fee and the subscription fee for the tablet. As per discussion with Solutions department, the migration fee would be waivered. The credit has been authorized but not reflecting on the system. The Samsung tablet should not reflect. They can also see on the system that a refund is due to me back dating May to Aug and this has not happened. So today I get a call from Back-office to migrate me back to the 250meg and I have to pay R30 per month. I said no as this 250megs was free as per the promotion. I was told that I then have to go with my contract to a Vodacom store and they will sort it out…WHAT A JOKE. Just got a call back after discussions with the manager, that a call will be logged with the relevant depart (think it is contracts) to resolve. (Story of my life) So my question is now…..WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO WITH MY CURRENT SITUATION as it is the one issue after the other.
