Fed Up!!!

If I could score Vodacom less than a 1 star I would because that is how utterly shocking their service is.

I wrote a complaint here last Sunday 26th February regarding the network outage in our area and also sent messages on the Vodacom facebook messenger regarding the outage. First they respond saying they are not aware of any issues in the area and asked for all the information that I had already sent through to them. I sent it through again, only to get a message back saying that they are aware of the issue in the are and that their technicians are working on it to get it resolved. That right there says it all, one minute they are not aware and the next they are. Clearly no one at Vodacom knows what is going on, hence the reason it is in such a shambles.

We are now on day 6 of no signal. I have sent messages every day and each time I get told they are working on it and to give them some time. How much time do they actually need when their clients have been sitting for nearly a week without network. This is totally unacceptable. The vodacom network is down more often than it is up and even then the speeds are shocking, so much so that you can't even stream anything. One wonders what one has to do to get some sort of intelligent and informed answers from these people, as it doesn't seem to matter how often you complain or how many people complain, nothing gets done to sort out their poor service and infrastructure. And Vodacom is clearly not worried about losing customers, because if they were they would ensure that issues were fixed timeously.

Enough is enough now. All our phones in the household will be ported to MTN. And Vodacom may be arrogant enough to think that losing one or 2 customers is nothing, they must remember that Word of Mouth is the strongest form of advertising, and this works for good or bad. I intend on telling everyone who asks or mentions that they are going to Vodacom that they are making a big mistake. They will have more headaches than anything else having to deal with the pure incompetence of the people who work at Vodacom.

Good Riddance Vodacom. Welcome MTN.
