Fed up!
We were informed of fibre installation in our neighbourhood just as we were looking around for a good internet provider. So woohoo for us, no need for LTE or wireless anymore, we could just wait for the fibre installed instead. So off we go to the vodacom shop so that we could do the smart thing and get the contract sorted and take out the interim LTE deal with it. That was in September 2018. Thinking for doing this was because we were told that as soon as the fibre is fully installed and becomes active we would get a phonecall for installation and it wouldn't take too long as we would already have the router etc, etc.
But the fibre went on and still we waited. The lovely people under the gazebo that stop you as you driving home were there, waiting to pitch fibre to us again! Told them we already had a contract and we were just waiting for the aforementioned call for installation and the guy straight up tells me, 'that will take forever, if you did it with us under this gazebo it will take 3 days. But since we went to a store, it's going to take a bit longer.' Again my logical thinking brain does not understand these words, but I carry on with my smile, turn my car back on, and carry on home.
It is now the 3rd of December. To date, I have made 3 phonecalls, my husband has made 3 phonecalls and each time we get sold a new lie. So last week, I was told that I would get they would escalate as we have been waiting long and I can expect installation within 4 working days. Today my husband gets told that it will take 7-14 working days.
Can we have the truth? When will we get the installation guys out to us? I am so sick of these lies, that I really feel like I am being taken for a ride here? I have been a loyal vodacom customer for as long as I have had a cellphone and yet it doesn't seem that this is important to vodacom.
Please sort yourselves out. The next thing we will be told is that due to it being festive season you don't have staff to come and do the installation and we will have to wait another month! This is ridiculous vodacom.

04 Dec 2018, 11:36Not sure what due course is suppose to mean. But it is longer than I thought an escalated query would take. Still haven't heard anything. More empty promises and turn around times. You would think as vodacom is one of the biggest telecommunications providers that they would have enough staff to deal with this matter. But clearly not!

Well it's nearly 3pm and still no installation team and not even a courtesy call to explain what is going on. Call the Fibre support line and all that can be done is escalate cause no one can contact the scheduling department. What nonsense is this! Vodacom you truly are the worst!

I'm sorry but Vodacom should learn that customers can talk with their feet, and mine is headed out of the door. I am sick of being **** to!
