Faulty device (router) problem
On the 16th of March I bought a ZTE R219Z LTE MIFI Router at Sello Cellular (Vodacom Chatz) Langenhovenpark Bloemfontein. I payed cash. No contract. Router was an "out if the box" failure. Did not charge. Took it back on the 19th . Within the date out of the box defective devices could be returned. Salesperson explained that the router cannot be replaced. It must be send to Vodacom Repairs. There the router will be tested to find if it is indeed faulty. And NO I cannot have my money back. Been back frequently to ask about the router or my replacement. It was in line to be tested. Finally to be told last week that the router is indeed faulty and the router will be replaced by the this week (taking Easter Weekend into account). I enquired again today...Vodacom repairs cannot say if they have stock to replace the router. In the mean time I am out if R649 and a router I cannot have my money back because it is not Vodacom policy. Honestly Vodacom at this stage I really just want my money back! I've been a loyal Vodacom customer for years and have several contracts with you and this is how I am being repaid. Very disapointed. Your policy sucks. No regard fot the customer. I paid R649 for NOTHING.

Your attitude towards your customers suck. You have my money ????. So what do you care? I have no confidence in the product any longer. Will I have problems with it in the future.? BUT OH YES...wait for it...YOU DON'T CARE!

11 Apr 2021, 12:13Called the store on Friday to again ask about the router. Manager said the salesperson would call me. 1 and a half hours later still no call. So I called the store again. Manager said the salesperson was busy with a client and will phone back. I totally lost it. Complete meltdown. I was in tears. Told him not to bother, I know they will not phone me back. Half an hour later the salesperson did phone me back to tell me they have a router. I tested it and it is fine. I am sure the store went to great lenghts to find a router for me. I think they realized I was at breaking point. (It was just that I felt totally helpless) So thank you to the store. To Vodacom I want to say...This was a very very bad experience for me. I realized that Vodacom do not care about their customers. They have a policy to protect them. I was one consumer (and I am sure there are others out there) against a big company. They know that and do not care. I've been a Vodacom client for a long time. Have several contracts with them. I plan to switch to fibre in the future. Will I consider them? Absolutely not!!. This has taught me that they will not be there for me when I have problems.
