Faulty Device booked in for the 9TH time.

On 29 October 2014 I bought myself a Samsung Tablet due to the nature of my work.

It suddenly started giving me problems. Short battery life, it had a Boot-up Problem, it gets extremely hot, sometimes fail to switch on and does not charge.

12 May 2015 was the first time it went in for repairs at Vodacom Repairs in Somerset West where it was sent to the Engineer, Tinashe Zvimba who then replaced the electrical parts of the tablet. 6 June 2015 I returned to Vodacom Repairs Somerset West as the tablet failed to switch on. The Engineer, Ryan Beukes indicated that there was no fault found. On 22 February 2016 the same problem arised, the tablet fails to switch on, it is not charging and the device heats up. The Engineer, Zainodene Rhoda replaced the electrical parts (this is now the second time the electrical parts are replaced). 29 February 2016 it was booked in again for repairs as the same problem preceded. 11 March 2016 it was booked in for repairs yet again for the same problem, the engineer Tinashe Zvimba replaced the electrical parts yet again (3rd time electrical parts are being replaced). 4 May 2016 it was booked in for the same problems. 13 May 2016 the booked in yet again for the same problem and on 20 June 2016 for the same issue. Today, 23 June 2016 I will be booking the device in for the same problem yet again. This will now mark it the 9th repair that this tablet will be booked in for. The Warranty of the device is coming to an end, which is obviously something Vodacom wants cause then they can charge me for the repairs.

In total I have utilised the device probably a maximum of 10 months since the purchase of it. The Manager, Mymoona indicated that there is nothing that they can do and that I can take the matter further if I want, but I will fight a loosing battle.

The attitude received from her (Mymoona) is completely unacceptable as this is not a way of treating a customer who has been a loyal customer of Vodacom since the first cellphone was issued in South Africa. I have honestly never experienced such a service.

To date I still have not received any response except for the response on the day I lodged the complaint.

Today marks 1 week of no response and still no table. #FAILED #powertoyou

I have still not received a response based on the enquiry posed.

Vodacom repairs sent and email indicating that he must now accept or reject the price for repair of R715.61 for the replacement of the rear casing.

Please give the reasons for the payment seeing that this unit is still under warranty.
