Fast and furious sales pitch

I received an unsolicited sales call from REWND, a Vodacom agent. The caller said they would reduce my total payments on my Vodacom contract and get an extra 1 GB of data per month. I could also use this data on my existing Vodacom contract. And I would get a free wifi router (no free lunch offered!).

None of this was true! As I found out by calling Vodacom *** and getting a very helpful Vodacom agent, Refiloe. My complaint is not about her, it is about Vodacom and its misleading sales agents and inadequate cancellation processes.

So I logged this call with Vodacom, as below:

I was sold this application by REWND under false pretenses (Reference Number: ***8):
I was told I could use the 2GB of data on my existing Vodacom contract phone ***). Vodacom agent Refiloe (15:20 8/6/2016), told me this was incorrect, I can only use the data on a pre-paid account.
I was told the the R119/mth would replace the R149/mth I am already paying for data on my contract - Vodacom agent Refiloe (15:20 8/6/2016) said this was not so, the R119 would be additional to my existing contract.
I was sent a number to use for queries ***) - This number does not work.
When I phoned Vodacom (***), Vodacom agent Refiloe (15:20 8/6/2016) told me it was too late to cancel the delivery and that I would have to return the package unopened to the RAM courier and then phone *** to finally cancel this transaction. - I tried all this only a few minutes after the REWND sales call and yet I was told it was not possible to cancel the transaction - I find this unacceptable. Please cancel it and stop the delivery, you have got until Monday to do this, which should be plenty of time.

The promised consultant has tried to get back to me a few times but I was unavailable. However, I was contacted by a Vodacom agent via WhatsApp who took all my details then said I had to pay Vodacom R109 via my credit card and this would then be refunded immediatley (???). She wanted my full credit card details, which I foolishly gave, but coincidently Vthe Vodacom netwrok was giving trouble so the PIN never arrived. This all seemed a bit suspicious, so I have cancelled my credit card.

But I still havent managed to get Vodacom to cancel the order, so I will just refuse to accept delivery. But how do I stop Vodacom from debiting my account, if they wont cancel the order on their system? HELP VODACOM!!!!

Progress, I think! Fahied (not sure of the spelling) from Vodacom will now cancel my order and ensure that I don't get invoiced.

My feeling that the Vodacom staff are good, but the Vodacom systems and processes are rigid, unfriendly to customers and generally outdated. For instance, in my case, I should have been able to track my order and cancel it. Or, failing that, Vodacom staff (sales, returns or whatever) should be able to cancel it for me (after suitable authentication and audit trails). Thank you Fahied.
