Falsifying of alledged damages to void warrantee
I have a Blackberry 9720 device. 4 months ago it started rebooting by itself and telling me that there is insufficient storage space. Took it to Vodacom in Cape Gate who assessed the device, told me there is nothing wrong with it, but advised me to buy a new battery, which I did. I charged the device and the battery life did improve but did not last long. Bought a 8GB memory card but did not resolve the storage issue. Took the device to Vodacom Canal Walk where the technician told me that they have had countless comebacks on this device model and that they would probably replace it if I send it in. He noted on the device inspection form that the device had scratches on the screen and frame. Feedback from the repair centre is that the charging port is physically damaged. I disputed this as the phone has never been physically damaged, my dispute was shunned and the device was sent back to CT. How is it that 2 technicians never noted the alleged physical damage?? This is a blatant way for Vodacom to get out of the warranty. I will cancel all 3 of my contracts if this is not resolved under the warranty, it is clear it is a software issue. Dispute ref nr EC-0WHT-2D9GKZ Job nr 109695
