False promises in verbal contractual agreement + refusal to send verbal agreement recording
On the 26th of April I spoke to a consulting regarding an Uncapped LTE package (with Alcatel Router) costed at R399 p/m. On the call, I confirmed twice that the package was uncapped and unshaped. The answer was yes!
Only to now find out that shaping / throttling starts at 400GB of usage, is upped at 200GB of usage and then a hard lock is put in place.
I reached out to Vodacom and have been given one hell of a run around, only to be finally informed that the voice recording (verbal agreement of my contract and the terms therein) cannot be made available to me and that I am expected honour the contract or cancel it as per details (that still have not been confirmed nor sent to me).
I have asked for an explanation regarding the false information given to me by their consultant, as well as a means in which I can confirm the details of the contract as her word can obviously no longer be taken on good faith. I have been refused.
Not sure what sort of contract you can enter into without being supp**** a copy of said contract especially upon request.
On the plus side the signal and router are great! Just terrible customer service.

While I understand that it is now being attended to and sent to a Vodacom near me, I feel that this is something that needs to be addressed with your staff.
Not only were false promises / information provided to me during a contractual agreement, false information regarding the recording supply etc was also given. Staff should be better trained on what can and can't be done or promised to clients.
I am still waiting on a resolution / confirmation as to why I was promised an uncapped / unshaped line but subsequently told that that contract does not exist yet I have 'signed' for the contract. I would appreciate this matter being resolved.
I have asked for three things:
1) the voice recording to be made available to me
2) the actual contractual obligations and details to be sent to me as I obviously cannot take the call agent's word on this matter
3) an explanation as to why the falsified information being given to me and why I was bound to a contract on different terms than what was explained to me
I would appreciate a resolution on all 3 matters so that I can safely continue my contract and services with Vodacom. I am looking at instating another 2 contracts with your company, but I need to be assured as to what exactly I am signing up for and not to be hoodwinked again.
