False promises

I app**** for a 2 for 1 deal online. They sent me an email saying I was approved and a nr to phone for a follow up. When phoning them they told me that I was approved for a phone but not that deal. I must use that contract for three months and then apply again. This is false advertising and dishonest. They are trying to lure people into buying more contract than necessary. Why say it is approved in the first place if they had something else in mind.
