False Information to con clients into a deal.

On 3 October 2019 at ~10am I can confirm that have had exactly the same ********** sale from what appears to be EXACTLY the same sales consultant as a very similar complaint raised by GH on 26 Oct 2018 ("2018 GH complaint") included below. "Govender T13" sold me a 10 gig data package under a new sim card number. My clear understanding from the sale by Ms Govender (after she looked into my and my childrens account profiles) was that I could transfer data to my childrens accounts. I logged a Vodacom investigation for what I believe to be a ********ly ********** sale Investigation number 34875 on 14 October 2019 at ~11am and appear to have been lip service. I phoned 082111 on 15 October 2019 at 8am and they appear to know nothing of this investigation number - lip service. Perhaps when I open a ******** case with the police, somebody at Vodacom will take notice? My comments relating to GH's 2018 complaint are denoted in square brackets as follows [W: ...] eg: [W: Same sales pitch – but in addition I was told that I could transfer data to my childrens top up accounts]

False Information to con clients into a deal. G H | 26 Oct 2018, 17:10 On 5/9/2018 at 09h31 I received a call from Ugendrie Govender from Vodacom Business. She told me that I was exceeding my data on my main Business package for last couple of months and that she can give me a 250mb per month package deal which will be much cheaper than the out of bundle rate penalty that I am paying for going over my data. [W: Same sales pitch – but in addition I was told that I could transfer data to my childrens top up accounts] I told her that I was not aware that I was exceeding my monthly data. She Insisted that I was and that I should take this offer she was selling to me, and that it can also be stopped at any time. I agreed on the premises that If I was indeed exceeding my data package, to enter into the telephonic contract.

Directly after she hung up, I logged into the myVodacom site and could find no proof that I was exceeding my monthly data. I then contacted a Vodashop who also confirmed that I did not go over my contract monthly data. I phoned and E-Mailed Ugendrie Govender back and told her the following: “Hi Ugendrie. The Information you have given me is not correct – I have checked my data balances and it does appear that I exceed monthly data balances! Only once in June and not for the last 3 months like you said. DO NOT ACTIVATE ANY VALUE-ADDED SERVICES!” She would not stop or reverse the process even though I told her that she conned me into a sale based on ********** information. I then told her that I am declaring a dispute. [W: I have logged an investigation # 34875 which appears to have been (conveniently) lost in space by Vodacom]. She said she would look into the matter. I then, after a bureaucratic battle to get hold of anyone more senior than a customer service operator, eventually and after a lot of phone calls (which I have to pay for) spoke to Sandra Khoza. She said she will take the matter further as this is ********** practices. It is now almost 2 months later, I have sent the e-mails over and over again with no response. All the calls to Ugendrie Govender and Sandra Khoza were recorded where it can be clearly heard how Ugendrie Govender, Enterprise Business Unit Specialist is leading me with false information. The money Vodacom is skimming from me is the smaller issue here, the big problem is the ********** tactics being used and nothing is being done to rectify the ****s. I have been a Vodacom business client since 1999. [W: Vodacom customer since ~1994]
