False information given to persuade me to upgrade and failure to cancel upgrades.

I was phoned and persuaded to upgrade 2 of my contracts telephonically. When I found out afterwards that some of the information provided to me was false, I phoned back the same day to ask for these upgrades to be cancelled. I was told that there is a cooling off period of 30 days and seeing that I phoned back the same day, surely this should have been done by now. Also, had I not been provided false information I wouldn't have upgraded and saved myself A LOT OF TROUBLE.

I phoned Vodacom directly at ********** and was transferred to the cancellations department. The lady I spoke to assured me it will be cancelled and that I can phone back to follow up at ********** . So, I phoned back the next day to follow up, only to be told that they do not do cancellations there. So why did the same department tell me the previous day that they would do it?

I was then told to phone Mondeo Rewards at ********** , which I did. They assured me the upgrades will be cancelled. Today I went into a Vodacom store to check whether it has been cancelled. They told me they can see on the system that nothing has been done. Unfortunately they are also unable to cancel this in store.

Also, this morning the parcels from Vodacom was delivered to me, even though I requested for the upgrades to be cancelled. I didn’t accept these and asked for it to be sent back to Vodacom.

This is absolute shocking service. Why can Vodacom not get basic services right?

Vodacom, please cancel these updates and do not ever phone me to try and do telephonic upgrades again.

Reviewer Update

It has been a week now and still this issue has not been resolved. No one has even bothered contacting me regarding the problem. Dealing with Vodacom has been an ongoing nightmare. Worst experience, every single time.
