False information

Vodacom offered me a free laptop for being a long-term customer at no additional cost. I was not informed it is a new contract I am taking.

I have since requested for the records of the conversation of me taking the new contract for a laptop and a router. I believe Vodacom was intentionally mislead me in the hope of making a sale as I would not have a reason to take a laptop and additional router. Upon wanting to cancel I have been informed I have to pay a penalty of R10 000.00 for a cheap laptop that cost less than R4 000.00
