My Mom and I visited the Vodacom Shop at the Waterfall Mall in Rustenburg (near Pick a Pay) on the 21 of November 2016. My Mom app**** for a new cellphone contract, by completing all the paper work the consultant asked if we had an existing contract and we confrimed yes a data contract. The consultant then continue with the completion of the paper work while we wait patienly. After a while he left to fetch the cell phone that we requested (Samsung S6), comes back and informed us that the system is off line.

My Mom made arrangements to come back on Tuesday (22.11.2016) to collect the cell phone as he (the consultant) will complete the application. On arrival to collect the cell phone and finalised the contract, the consultant asked for my Mom's bank statements as her application was declined. My Mom told the consultant that she had all the paper work with her yesterday and we confirmed if he will need it and he said no... we have an existing contract. My Mom left without anything as she did not have the paper work the consultant needed.

My Mom asked me to investigate as she's not clued up with the latest technology. On Saturday 26.11.2016 i revisted the Vodacom Shop at the Waterfall Mall in Rustenburg giving them the bank statements as requested. While sitting there... waiting, the consultant told me that shed faxed through all the neccessary paper work to their aquisitons department. The consultant phoned and asked if they could process the paper work. While on the line she tells me that the contract is still not approved. I asked for a reason on why there's a problem, she can't tell. I took the application form to use the reference number for when i phone myself (Referral nr: 195 551 86) and i asked for a contact number to phone as i know my Mom doesn't have any bad debt.... but you never know! The consultant then gave me the accounts departments number ********** .

Tuesday Morning early i get hold of Vodacoms Customer Services Help Desk, i was transfered to a telephone consultant and explained away... after telling him my story of the contract that's declined he told me they (the telephone consultants) doesn't have access to the branches applictions so he will not be able to help me. The best is to go back to the branch and one of the consultants must phone and find out why vodacom will not approve the cell phone contract.

So on Wednesday it back to the branch again, on arrival i spoke to the same consultant expaining what the telephone consultant told me. She then phoned vodacoms aquisitions department requesting a reason why they will not approve the cell phone contract. Finally... My Mom is over exposed on her ITC records. I told the consultant thats impossible... but while your at it please print me the paper work stating that the cell phone contract is declined... she even highlighted the "declined" for me. I asked the consultant what to do next? She gave me the number of Experian ********** , they will be able to help me.

So i phoned Experian, we verified all the personal detail and i asked the lady to run a credit check for me. She said there's nothing wrong with my Mom's credit check, its all good. I requested paper work from her to show that my Mom's record is up to date.

Now its back to the Vodacom Shop at the Waterfall in Rustenburg again.... I've been running around sorting out false information for the last 2 weeks now.... somebody is not doing there job!

So ja... if Vodacom tells you your blacklisted.... make time and check it yourself because you'll be supprised!

Very unhappy with the way i've been treated.

Engela Botha

********** 738
