False advertising on business webpages
We are business clients of Vodacom for the 12 + years. On Thursday 8 October 2020 I went on the Vodacom website to search for an upgrade on my number , as I am more than 24 months due for an upgrade. My current device has no battery life anymore hence I need to upgrade urgently as I do more than 90% of business on my phone. I then found a deal on the Vodacom website that I wanted and did an online request/order. We have the shot of the deal on the webpage. Deal as follow : “Samsung Galaxy Note10+, Smart M+ R519pm.” I followed up the next day, Friday 9 October 2020, after speaking no numerous agents eventually Merrisha Naidoo assisted me. She reverted back to me and responded that the deal was an error on the website, but that “finance department” will have to work on that deal as a special deal as it was an error on the website, and requested that I make a copy and send the screenshot of the deal to her . I kept following up on the upgrade process as I am in desperate need now of a new device and my business is taking strain as my device needs to be on charge all the time. She every time rep**** that “finance” is working on the deal and she will revert back to me as soon as it is approved. On 13 October 2020 she rep**** that the deal is not approved /declined as it was wrongly advertised on their website, instead the deal structure is now: CUNY2O1402 Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Aura Glow + 20GB 1 MONTH @ R 1129 PM (R610 + R519 Subs ) on Smart M + , which is R610 more pm than initially advertised. This is not at all that was advertised, and I checked that this previous "so called error deal" was still advertised on the Vodacom website until Monday 12 October. We have screen shots of that available and did also send to Vodacom. Vodacom just rep**** that the advertised deal was an error and will not be app****.
Bad Business at Vodacom. False or wrongly advertised, whatever excuse you prefer. Will end my 12 year business relationship Vodacom and take our business to another provider.
"Good Morning Sir I trust you are well, Kindly find below disclaimer as per Vodacom with regards to the incorrect pricing. https://www.vodacombusiness.co.za/business/terms/disclaimer You can also contact retentions department for a custom-made deal on *** option 1 then 0. I do apologize as I was unable to provide you with the deal. Thank you. "
Anyway....
MTN already picked up on you bad service and lack of customer service and good business practice, and offered us a better deal.
Thanks for NOTHING Vodacom
