False Advertising - Data Contract incl Hard Drive
It seems to me that Vodacom advertised a deal, and then reneged for some reason. How can you advertise a deal and then not send stock to your stores? This goes against the spirit of the Consumer Protection Act. Honour your commitments - don't change the rules half-way!

Last month Vodacom ran a special for a data contract:
- Contract Deal: R199 for 24 months
- Device: Vodaphone R216-Z Wifi Router (LTE)
- 3 GB per month (including 3 GB Night Owl (12am - 5am))
- Included a FREE 500GB Hard Drive!

I went to Vodacom Shop in Pavilion twice to sign up a contract with my wife. On both occasions I was told that there was no stock. They were not prepared to complete the paperwork and inform me when stock came in. I phoned Vodacom in Pinecrest Centre, Pinetown and Vodacom in Liberty Mall, Pietermaritzburg. Both shops confirmed that they too could not honour the deal.

I then tried to phone Vodacom's national online shop (***4). They vetted me and declined my application with no reasons. I asked the consultant to phone my wife the next day. This did not happen.

When 6 September came, still no call, the deal had changed! I insist that the deal must be honoured.
