False Advertising

I cancelled my Vodacom 20GB data contract at the end of the 24 month period at the end of June 2019 over the telephone. The call centre agent tried to keep me on board as a customer by offering me the cheapest deal for data and minutes at R 49 pm. He mentioned the minutes will carry over for 6 months. I confirmed this and repeated confirmation that it is indeed 6 months carry over. I signed up as I do not use many minutes hence the carry - over would work for me. On my next call with Vodacom (a week later) I was informed that the minutes do not carry over for 6 months and that there is no carry over. I then asked for my contract to be cancelled immediately as I was sold the contract under false pretenses. I also informed the agent to please investigate and listen to the call logs. I called the Vodacom call centre yet again as i did not receive a call back. The agent mentioned that they will cancel the contract and I was CORRECT. At the end of August I was billed the R 49 DESPITE me cancelling the contract. A few more calls later to Vodacom and I was told the contract is officially cancelled. To my horror on 30 September 2019 I was debited R 331.88 which was the fee for my old contract. ANOTHER 6 more calls to Vodacom and the agents mentioned that is was an error on their side and they will process the refund. It has now been 5 months and I have not received a refund. If i do not receive my FULL refund of all incorrect debits I will take this matter to a popular consumer journalist in KZN who appears regularly on East Coast Radio.
