Upgraded a cellphone contract with Vodacom whilst there was a special where if one signed up for that specific package the customer was entitled to a rugby jersey. This was about 2months ago. the consultant advised that I would receive an sms which i needed to respond to. 2 weeks later no sms so i contacted the consultant and was told that there was probably a delay due to so many people signing up for that package, 2weeks later still no sms so I contacted her again , she said she will advise the person incharge . Another 2 wks passed & still no sms so I phoned Vodacom Pavillion. The consultant was off on that day so i spoked to another lady as she asked if she could assist I explained her the situation. she says many customers had complained about not receiving their jersey & so & they are compiling a list of the customers names . I gave her my details . another 2 weeks and no response from the branch. so I phoned the store & explain the situation again to another staff member whos asks if it was a business contract & i said yes, as it was then she goes on to tell me the jersey was not for business contracts. My response was the brochure did not state that and surely the sales consultant should have been aware of this & advised me at the time. then she says it was while stock last. so now which is it because that also wasnt stated & if Vodacom was out of jerseys then vodacom branches should have been made aware so the customers signing up would be made aware. i left a message for the sales consultant to contact me regarding this as she was not available while her colleague tried to assist. The sales consultant contacted me the following day as i have been a client of hers as she had done 3 other upgrades for me. she tells me that her manager says "the jersey was not for businness contracts & I was already receiving a discount as this package was a promo. The contract was R2000 without a device . A private customer pays exactly what the brochure stated . I did not receive a discounted rate as such . so why say its not for business contracts.

I need Vodacom to respond with a letter confirming that this was Vodacoms decision as I was told

by Vodacom Pavillion.
