False Advertising & Bad Customer Services

Good Day.
Vodacom sold me a Sony Xperia Z3 in Feb 2015, and it was state that it is a WATERPROOF phone.
all research also shows as stated.
I had then swam with the phone in fresh water and all ports were sealed correctly as I wouldn't want to damage my phone.
The device then did not turn on.
I dropped my phone off at Vodacom on Monday the 7th of March.
No communication was sent to me, on Thursday the 10th of March I then had to call for feedback.
I was then told it would cost me R2800 to repair, I refuse to pay this as it was meant to be waterproof and I don't feel I should be paying for something that was falsely advertised to me.
I was then told that there is external damage to the phone, when I ask what they then don't know, how can you quote me R2800 and not know what the \external\" damage is.
I had then ask to speak to management and was told they don't have a direct line. THEY ARE A TELEPHONE COMPANY AND MANAGEMENT DOES NOT HAVE A DIRECT LINE.
I spend over R1500 on my cell phone account MONTHLY and this is how I am treated and then your call centre agent still wants to speak to me they way he did. this is UNACCEPTABLE customer services."
