False advertising

I bought a Sony M2 Aqua from vodacom early February. I was told by the salesman that the phone is waterproof and the phone will be covered by its warranty as long as the ports are closed should the phone get water damage. I tested the phone by submerging it in 20cm of water. After drying it i noticed water coming out the charge port and it refused to charge.

I took the phone to vodacom centurion stating that the phone took in water despite the flaps being closed and that the phone is suppose to be waterproof. After two weeks I went to vodacom to collect my phone and was told that the phone is beyond economical repair because of water damage. I explained to the lady at the counter about the phone being waterproof who said the technician will phone me on Monday.

I am now without the phone that I purchased and now have to deal with *********** technicians who don't understand the products they are dealing with. If i get my phone back in its unusable state I will stop the debit and cancel the contract with vodacom as I signed a contract on the basis that I was receiving a phone that operated as the seller described which obviously is not the case
