On the the 22nd of December I went to vodacom mall of the South to go do an upgrade. I wanted to upgrade to a proline laptop that they have advertised on their catalog as their available deals. At the store I dealt with a consultant called Mpho whom I explained the deal I saw and she confirmed that the deal was available and usually the deal takes 3 to 5 days for the laptop to be available at the store, this deal comes with a R500 stationery voucher. Today is the 3rd of January 2022 and still nothing, allegedly Vodacom has advertised a laptop they don't have, Mpho was supposed to follow up with me but she never did, I drove to the store on the 27th to check which I was told that the laptop I wanted is not available at the warehouse.... So why advertise something you have no stock of??? Mpho only called me on the 28th to interest me in other deals and gave me a lame excuse of why she never followed up with me. I told her that I was not planning to spend more on my upgrade, with the proline my son was going to get his "gift from Santa + a R500 stationery voucher" and now I am faced with taking a deal that will cost me more and they gave me their internal politics of why they cant give me that stationery voucher. The way I see it is this is simple really, give me the R199 deal with R500 stationery voucher, you cannot advertise something you do not have, if you cannot deliver because of your own incompetence then give me an available laptop with the same deal, why do I have to suffer additional costs because of your lies? I promised my son that Santa will bring him his laptop and a R500 voucher to buy cell phone accessories and Santa will never break that promise! I want Vodacom to make a plan, I dont care what you do!
Allegedly I was going to receive an sms with instructions but that did not happen... Sooo the stationery vouchers that vodacom is trying out are actually not available or it was just a bogus adverti*****t! So I want a R500 accessory voucher! Mpho the agent I dealt with at the store initially told me that this R500 voucher was for accessories and not stationery then later changed her story and said actually its a stationery voucher which then was acceptable because kids were going back to school but guess what kids are already at school and stationer bought sooo I guesd this defeats the purposes, if I was sold an accessory voucher then thats exactly what I want! Its not my fault that staff at Vodacom franchises don't have product knowledge.
